Making Your Vision a Reality

It was a beautiful Sunday evening in the late 1980’s. I was watching the brilliant sunset as I sat in the church of my upbringing in San Diego. I was intent on the myriad colors dancing across the sky - blues, purples, vibrant oranges and smudges of red. I looked at the priest as he spoke. I was so miserably bored. I walked out of the beautiful chapel half way through the “inspirational talk”.  As I continued to watch the artful sunset, I had tears in my eyes. “Come on,” I said out loud, “There has to be more than this.” This being the lackluster of the mass.

Literally, the next day, I went to my favorite bookstore. I was yearning for something with substance, inspiration & direction. As I was perusing the “Self-help/Inspirational” section, a book fell off the shelf above my head, hit my shoulder and slammed to the floor. That book was Creative Visualization: Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Life by Shakti Gawain. That's when my new path began. I purchased the book and still have it on my book shelve to this day.

Why am I sharing this story? They say the Universe will whisper to you, then in will shout at you, and if you still don’t listen you will get the cosmic 2x4! In my case I got smacked with a book (thank goodness it was paperback).  Unfortunately, this wasn’t my only cosmic smack because I had a lot of lessons to learn. In other words, I’ve been in the trenches and I have had to persevere and listen to my inner self to move in the direction of my dreams and desires.

For over 20 years I have had the desire to help others. Back in the 1990’s there wasn’t a term like “coaching”.  And, yet, that is what I had a desire to do. I was lucky enough to have a platform at that time to lead mediations, facilitated classes, & lead others to find and listen to that small still voice that resides inside of us.

After more life changes, my path found me back to my home state of Idaho; this time to live in the growing city of Boise. Still unable to formulate what we now call a coaching business I started my real estate business.  That was 20 years ago. So now with another 20 years of running a successful business, still growing and walking my inner path, cultivating new tools I am now ready to share my passion.

The question is….are you ready to find and cultivate your passion, your yearnings…in other words….find your bliss?
